Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining all Hanes Dye and Finishing, Geo Components, and facility equipment. This role is responsible for completing projects, rebuilding parts, and performing routine preventative maintenance to the facility, and machines. Comfortable with training new employees, explaining procedures, and maintaining a high-quality standard through good preventative maintenance practices.

Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining all Hanes Dye and Finishing, Geo Components, and facility equipment. This role is responsible for completing projects, rebuilding parts, and performing routine preventative maintenance to the facility, and machines. Comfortable with training new employees, explaining procedures, and maintaining a high-quality standard through good preventative maintenance practices.
Duties
- Inspect and repair machines with worn, damaged, or mis-aligned parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance, advanced repairs, and replacements as needed.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs to pneumatic, and fluid handling systems.
- Knowledge of electrical systems up to 600V and making minor repairs.
- Replace worn parts, rollers, guides, pulleys, belts, bearings, and gearboxes.
- Perform Boiler startup, blowdown procedure, and facility water treatment duties.
- Experience with fabrication, welding, pipefitting preferred.
- Perform Lock-out Tag-out as needed.
- Must be able to multi-task in a high paced manufacturing environment.
- General housekeeping and safe work practices.
- Assist with projects, commissioning machinery, and long.
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned by manager.
- 2nd Shift – 4p-12a
Requirements
- Must be a team player, and willing to assist in other areas when necessary.
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience required.
- Machine maintenance experience required.
- Basic electrical experience required.
- Pipefitting experience preferred.
- HVAC experience preferred.
- Facilities maintenance experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED.
