JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Forklift Operator

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor


QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Must be familiar and comply with company policies to all employees reporting to him/her
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Able to operate warehouse equipment
  • Must have cooperative attitude necessary to work effectively with others
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Must be able to follow verbal & written instructions
  • Adaptable, flexible, and maintain effectiveness during change/transition


PRIMARY DUTIES:

The primary duties of the employee are (but are not limited to) the following:
 
  • All employees have the responsibility to bring forth suggestions and participate in continuous improvement process and verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Conform to all quality/safety/environmental requirements and procedures.
  • Read and follow instructions on converting orders.
  • Perform routine operations on machine (load, set-up, doff) - make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards.
  • Production reporting to be neat and accurate.
  • Ability to lift 75 – 100 pounds.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Department Supervisor.
