Hanes Industries, Inc., a division of Leggett & Platt (NYSE: LEG), is seeking a dedicated Sales Representative to join our team in the North Mississippi area and surrounding states. As the leading distributor of industrial fabrics in the United States, our products are integral to a variety of sectors, including industrial packaging, building products, automotive, filtration, furniture, and mattress manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
As the Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in the success of Hanes Industries by undertaking the following responsibilities:

  • Service Existing Customers and Develop New Product Placements: You will be responsible for maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction, and understanding their evolving needs. Additionally, you will proactively seek out new product placements and new business opportunities, identifying potential clients and introducing them to our product portfolio.
  • Develop Relationships with Customers: Developing trusting and lasting relationships with our customers is a critical aspect of this role. By understanding their requirements and challenges, you will position yourself as a valuable resource, offering exceptional service and product expertise that address their specific business requirements.
  • Execute Sales Strategy: As a key member of the sales team, you will implement the company’s sales strategy in your designated region and across your market’s industries. This involves conducting market research, identifying key target areas, prospecting potential customers, and effectively promoting our products and service to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
  • Report Progress to Management: Keeping Branch Manager and Director of Sales Operations informed about your progress is essential for strategic alignment and performance evaluation. Regularly providing updates on sales achievements, market insights, and customer feedback through the CRM is required for success.

We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven individual with a true passion for sales and a knack for building strong customer relationships. Key attributes of our ideal candidate include:
  • Persuasive Communications Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, enabling you to effectively convey the value and benefits of our products to potential customers across various industries.
  • Proven Sales and Leadership Experience: The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sales, preferably with the markets we serve. A BS/BA degree and/or 2-3 years of business-to-business sales experience is preferred.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Understanding the importance of customer satisfaction and consistently delivering exceptional service is a fundamental aspect of this role. Your ability to listen to customers’ needs and offer appropriate solutions will set you apart.
