Maintenance- Technician II
              
 The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining facility and operations equipment across Hanes and Greenscapes. This position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, equipment installations, and continuous improvement projects to support the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. The role follows established maintenance procedures and promotes high-quality standards through proactive and preventive maintenance practices.

Duties
  • Respond promptly to maintenance calls to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines with worn, damaged, or misaligned parts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, advanced repairs, and equipment replacements as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, fluid handling, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical components including PLCs, drives, breakers, sensors, motors, contactors, control boards, and motor controls.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Install conduit systems, pull wire, install panel boards, inverters, motor controls, and terminate electrical connections.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and equipment, identify hazards and defects, and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintain and support PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, vision systems, and other automated machine control devices.
  • Replace worn parts, rollers, guides, pulleys, belts, bearings, gearboxes, and other machine components.
  • Perform Lock-out Tag-out as needed and wear proper PPE.
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain general housekeeping, safe work practices, and arc flash safety requirements.
  • Assist with projects, commissioning new and existing machinery, and completing preventative maintenance activities.
  • Train new maintenance employees, explain procedures, and provide technical guidance when needed.
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned by manager.

Hours of Work
1st Shift - 7a-3p                   2nd Shift - 3p-11p
              (May vary due to production requirements)

Requirements
  • Must be a team player and willing to assist in other areas when necessary.
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic experience required.
  • Machine maintenance experience required.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair experience required.
  • Advanced electrical expertise preferred.
  • Facilities maintenance experience preferred.
  • Pipefitting, fabrication, and welding experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, related technical field, Electrical License, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience preferred.
